On the surface, everything seems perfect. 19-year-old Miriam is the stepdaughter of the charismatic pastor of The Freedom Congregation. As reigning world champion in disco freestyle dance, and leader of the Free Church’s youth group, she is the church’s pride. But during the World Cup, she collapses on the dance floor, and the defeat raises questions and unrest in her. At home, she is greeted with the need to believe more, believe better. Miriam tries, but her body fails. In the search for answers to where her problems come from, and in frustration at not being seen, she is drawn to a stricter conservative congregation. She secretly goes to their summer camp.
