Marius Christiansen is a Norwegian composer for film, television and live performance. His music combines orchestral, electronic and acoustic elements, with a focus on emotional storytelling, memorable themes and cinematic atmosphere.
Over the past two decades, he has written music for a wide range of productions, from award-winning television dramas and feature films to documentaries, animation and large-scale live productions. His credits include the internationally acclaimed drama series Afterglow, the thriller Valkyrien, Occupied, Disco, The Chocolate War, The Badgers, Ella Bella Bingo and the international stage production Cirque Alice.
Marius enjoys moving between intimate chamber writing, large orchestral scores and modern hybrid soundscapes, always aiming to serve the story while giving each project its own distinct musical identity. He regularly collaborates with filmmakers, orchestras and musicians across Europe.
Based in Oslo and Kristiansand, Norway, Marius composes for feature films, television series, documentaries and selected live productions.
