In the Norwegian feature film Grevlingene I composed the original music, working closely with the director to support the emotional core of the story and bring the characters inner journeys to life.

Grevlingene follows Bernt, a young boy who dreams of becoming a scout like his father. After moving into a foster home in his late fathers hometown, he hopes to finally belong. But his new foster mother, Gerd, has her own ideas. She joins the local scout group, The Badgers, and begins reshaping it in ways that challenge tradition and threaten the sense of community Bernt longs for. Confronted with change, secrecy and the struggle to fit in, Bernt must protect what matters to him and find the courage to stand up for his place in the world.

For this score I recorded with the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra, combining warm orchestral textures, intimate motifs and moments of playful energy with emotional depth. The music reflects both the adventurous spirit of youth and the quiet vulnerability of growing up, capturing the film’s themes of childhood, identity, hope and belonging.

Grevlingene premieres in cinemas in 2025.
